Without question, this is a sentiment shared by our thriving rabbit community; a population of people of all ages who are passionate about the health and wellbeing of their bunny companions. Following on from the inaugural Rabbit Expo in 2017, it is with great pleasure that Platinum CPD presents the Rabbit Expo 2019.

This exciting one-day conference features three lecture streams - one for veterinarians, one for veterinary nurses and one for rabbit owners, plus a large designated trade and exhibition area encompassing many different rabbit related businesses and charities.

Veterinary Stream

  • Session 1: Health Problems in the Aging Rabbit (Dr Brendan Carmel)

  • Session 2: Renal Disease and the Aging Rabbit (Dr Gerry Skinner)

  • Session 3: Gastrointestinal problems and the ageing rabbit. (Dr Gerry Skinner)

Veterinary Nurse Stream

  • Session 1: Practical care of the ageing rabbit. (Dr Ruby Ivanov)

  • Session 2: Workshop - Nursing skills for the hospitalised rabbit. (Dee Morris RVN and Alanna Botten RVN)

  • Session 3: Anaesthetising the old or sick rabbit. (Dr Sam Schultz)

  • Session 4: Round table discussion - ask the experts. (panel of speakers)

  • Session 5: Pain relief options for geriatric or unwell rabbits. (Jess Coates )

Rabbit Owner Stream

  • Session 1: Caring for your elderly rabbit. (Dr Ruby Ivanov)

  • Session 2: Diet and behavioural changes in your rabbit. (Dr Nicole Su)

  • Session 3: Emergency! What to do if your rabbit is suddenly unwell. (Dr Gerry Skinner)
