Join us for day looking at all things behaviour-related!
During this informative and interactive day we will show you how to answer a range of common client questions regarding behaviour problems in their pet, when to advise referral (and how to refer), plus we will look at enrichment and training techniques that can be used within the clinic.
The day includes both lectures and practical hands-on sessions.
Topics that will be covered include:
-- Common client questions and how to answer them: puppies and kittens
-- Common client questions and how to answer them: adult dogs and cats
-- Pain and its link to behavioural changes
-- When to discuss referral to a veterinary behaviourist and how to discuss this with clients
-- How and when to use enrichment and training within the clinic.
At the end of the course, delegates will have the knowledge and skills to answer client questions more confidently and comprehensively, understand the role of pain in many behavioural conditions, and be able to use training and enrichment within the clinic to improve the care of their patients.
- Develop an understanding of how pain can cause a variety of behavioural changes, and learn how to recognise this in general practice.
- Understand where referral to a veterinary behaviourist fits into the care of a patient with behavioural problems.
- Learn how to use enrichment and training within the clinic situation
- Improve confidence in answering a wide range of common client questions relating to their pet, thus enhancing client and patient care.
